Benjamin Hartley Meader, son of Edward Meader (1785-1860) [0139] and Sarah Brooks (1798-1870), was born January 26, 1828 and died December 2, 1848. He spent some time in the Smithville Seminary as a teacher. He died quite suddenly of typhoid fever. [Perhaps the Smithfield Seminary, Somerset, ME, as there is no Smithville listed in New England.]
